Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a Senior Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer (CDO) to lead and ensure Roswell Park’s strategies are designed to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion as well as increase cultural diversity in the organization. The CDO plans, develops, implements, and evaluates all aspects of the organization’s strategy to enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion. They collaborate with team members and departments across the organization to enhance diversity, equal employment opportunities, and to establish and implement programs meant to encourage an inclusive and diverse workforce.

Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is America's first cancer center founded in 1898 by Dr. Roswell Park and was among the first centers to receive National Cancer Institute (NCI) designation in 1974. It is the only upstate New York facility to hold the NCI designation of "comprehensive cancer center". Over its long history, Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center has made fundamental contributions to reducing the cancer burden and has successfully maintained an exemplary leadership role in setting the national standards for cancer care, research and education.

This key executive will establish mechanisms to assess, measure, track, and report on diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of organizational performance. A primary responsibility of the CDO is to ensure accountability and visible commitment to diversity and inclusion programs/initiatives through the development, implementation, and achievement of performance metrics across the institution and for all members of the Roswell Park Team.
