PCLI Webinar – Challenges and Opportunities of Outreach Clinics

AACI’s Physician Clinical Leadership Initiative (PCLI) will host its next webinar, "Challenges and Opportunities of Outreach Clinics", on Wednesday, February 7, at 11:00am EST. The webinar will be hosted by AACI and facilitated by PCLI steering committee member Dan Mulkerin, MD, medical director of oncology services at the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center, and guest presenter, Sam J. Lubner, MD FACP, fellowship director at the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center.

Dr. Lubner has participated in outreach practices since joining the University of Wisconsin faculty in 2010. Within his practice, he has studied the health literacy of rural populations at outreach sites, and implemented nurse navigation programs at outreach to overcome those gaps.

Webinar topics to be discussed include: • Identify oncology services that can be delivered in outreach practices • Explore opportunities and risks common to outreach practices • In a case-based way, review different structures of oncology outreach practices, and the unique aspects of each • Highlight the possibilities of expanding outreach practices to integrate technology available at the main cancer center throughout the network

The webinar is geared toward a wide range of healthcare and industry oncology leaders including cancer center chief executive officers, directors of nursing and nursing managers or supervisors, clinical service line leaders, physician clinical leaders (e.g., chief medical officers), clinical trials office directors/managers, cancer center administrators, industry representatives, AACI Corporate Roundtable members, and AACI Sustaining Members.
