This is an exciting time for the oncology enterprise at Cedars-Sinai as it continues to expand its cancer footprint in Los Angeles. The Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute (SOCCI) at Cedars-Sinai is searching for a dynamic, strategic, and experienced administrative director for its clinical research office. The position reports to the Executive Director of SOCCI. Working collaboratively with the Medical Director of the SOCCI Clinical Research Office (CRO) and the Associate Director of Clinical Research, the Director is responsible for all aspects of cancer clinical research program management & administration across the Cedars-Sinai campus and affiliated community sites. The Director will facilitate processes to expand SOCCI’s clinical research portfolio, increase accruals to clinical trials, and attain its strategic priorities. This role will provide leadership to a centralized organizational structure of approximately 75 FTE including a management structure inclusive of six (6) Research Managers. The CRO is critical in SOCCI’s pursuit of strategic priorities including the submission of a successful NCI designation application. Major areas of responsibility include: oversight and overall direction of program management of clinical operations, research finance, regulatory affairs, quality assurance and compliance, training and education, sponsor-investigator support services, and Protocol Review and Monitoring System. The CRO manages approximately 300 trials in various stages of conduct. Incumbents must be extremely knowledgeable of the drug development process, be dedicated, energetic, collaborative, and committed to translating discoveries into the clinic.
