The Mount Sinai Tisch Cancer Center (TCC) is seeking a Director for Research Administration. The TCC is a National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated comprehensive cancer center focused on fostering innovative cancer research, training the next generation of cancer researchers, and engaging with our local community. The TCC has over 180 members, 4 scientific programs, 7 shared resources, and more than $31 million in NCI direct awards.

The Director for Research Administration reports to the TCC Director and is a member of the executive leadership team responsible for providing strategic planning, management, and overall administrative supervision for research-related activities in the TCC. The Director for Research Administration collaborates with other senior leaders to advise the TCC Director on strategies for improving operations, promoting research collaborations, and developing a strategic vision that is aligned with NCI goals and requirements and of benefit to the local and surrounding regional communities.

Duties and responsibilities include:
· NCI Cancer Center Support Grant management and reporting
· strategic planning
· shared resource oversight
· research facilities management
· assistance with faculty recruitment

Candidates with a master’s degree in business, healthcare administration/policy, or other relevant fields are encouraged to apply. Candidates must have 5+ years in academic medicine administration. Knowledge of NCI Cancer Center Support Grant requirements and/or experience with NCI-funded cancer center(s) is highly preferred. Excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills (written and oral) are required.
