Annual Meeting Spotlight: Working Effectively With Colleagues of All Ages

Cancer center employees now span multiple generations, each shaped by their own set of professional norms, communication styles, and expectations. As part of the 2026 AACI/CCAF Annual Meeting, one session will explore how remote work, rapidly changing priorities, evolving leadership models, and paradigm-shifting events like the COVID-19 pandemic have amplified differences between younger and older employees — and how cancer center leaders can facilitate mutual understanding across generations.

During "Four Generations, One Workplace: Navigating the Post-COVID Cancer Center Workforce," panelists will share strategies for collaboration, engagement, and closing the generation gap to work effectively with colleagues of all ages. The session will kick off Day 2 of the annual meeting, beginning at 8:30 am central time on Monday, October 26.

The 2026 AACI/CCAF Annual Meeting will take place October 25-27 at the Marriott Chicago Downtown Magnificent Mile. The 3-day meeting offers AACI members the opportunity to network with cancer center colleagues, national cancer research and advocacy groups, industry, and government health agencies to develop solutions to common challenges.
