Nominations are now being accepted for the AACI Cellular Therapy Initiative and Physician Clinical Leadership Initiative steering committees. All AACI cancer center members are welcome to submit nominations through 5:00 pm Pacific time on Friday, October 31.

Cellular Therapy Initiative (CTI)
The AACI Cellular Therapy Initiative (CTI) facilitates collaboration between subject matter experts at AACI’s member centers through meetings, webinars, and various working group and task force projects. As the field continues to grow and novel treatments are approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, CTI aims to provide a forum where AACI cancer center CTI leaders can collect, evaluate, and share best practices that promote the efficient and effective operation of cellular therapy programs.

Nominees should be closely involved with cellular therapy operations at their center and should hold a senior leadership role. Eligible titles include assistant, associate, or full professor; chief medical officer; executive medical director; associate director for clinical affairs; the administrative director, associate, or assistant director of a cellular therapy program, or an equivalent position.

Physician Clinical Leadership Initiative (PCLI)
In response to the rapid changes in health care delivery and the expectation to "do more with less" at clinical practices at AACI cancer centers, AACI created a forum for physician clinical leaders. PCLI aims to provide a resource for creating best practices to assist cancer center physician clinical leaders in addressing challenges like clinical services reimbursement, integrating electronic medical records with other cancer center IT services, assimilating clinical research and clinical programs to increase trial accrual, and developing performance metrics.

Nominees should be closely involved with clinical trial operations and quality care programs at their center. Nominees must have an MD/PhD or DO degree and should be cancer clinicians at the assistant, associate, or professor levels, and/or hold a title of chief medical officer, executive medical director, associate director for clinical affairs, or an equivalent position.

As part of this process, the current CTI Steering Committee will vote to add four new members and the current PCLI Steering Committee will vote to add three new members. New members will begin their three-year term in January 2026.

AACI members may complete the nomination form as many times as needed. Please email any questions to AACI Program Manager Hailey Honeycutt.
