CRI Steering Committee Seeks Nominations

The AACI Clinical Research Innovation (CRI) Steering Committee is seeking nominations. The CRI Steering Committee helps guide and implement activities to disseminate best practices across AACI cancer center clinical trials offices. The current steering committee members will vote, and one (1) chair-elect and three (3) new members will be added to the steering committee. 

Chair/Chair-Elect Criteria and Responsibilities:

  • Begin a one (1)-year term in October 2022 followed by a two (2)-year term as steering committee chair beginning in October 2023

  • Hold a senior leadership position within the clinical trials office (director, assistant director, executive director, senior manager, or medical director)

  • Widely recognized by the cancer community for their achievements in cancer research and leadership

  • Knowledgeable of clinical research policy and the National Cancer Institute (NCI) Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG) guidelines

  • Preside at CRI steering committee meetings, in-person CRI meetings, the AACI/CCAF annual meeting, AACI Corporate Roundtable meetings, ad hoc meetings, and workshops

  • Work with AACI leadership to appoint working groups to carry out the objectives of CRI

  • Responsible for reporting the outcomes of CRI to AACI leadership and members as requested

Steering Committee Member Criteria and Responsibilities: 

  • Begin three (3)-year term in October 2022

  • Closely involved with clinical trial operations at their center and aware of emerging issues in clinical trials

  • Hold a senior leadership position within the clinical trials office (director, assistant director, executive director, senior manager, or medical director)

  • Able to attend scheduled CRI meetings via teleconference calls, in-person CRI planning meetings, ad hoc meetings, scheduled workshops, and roundtable or breakout sessions at conferences

  • Lead working group activities as designated by CRI leadership and engage CRI participants to carry out the objectives of CRI

All AACI cancer center members are welcome to submit nominations to Program Coordinator Kendra Cameron until 5:00 pm Pacific time on Wednesday, August 10
