The Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center / Department of Oncology is seeking applicants for the Director of the Head and Neck Cancer Program. The successful applicant will be charged with leading the growth and expansion of a multidisciplinary group. The Director of the Head and Neck Cancer Program will have opportunities for program building, mentorship, and scholarship, by providing leadership to the faculty focused on patient care and research. The Director of the Head and Neck Cancer Program will have unique abilities to interact with ground-breaking researchers at Johns Hopkins.
The faculty candidate will be expected to lead in the conduct of phase I, phase II, and/or phase III clinical trials investigating novel therapeutics in these diseases or have additional interests in patient-oriented research. Candidates with successful translational research programs are encouraged to apply as well. The successful applicant will be charged with developing a portfolio of innovative clinical or translational research in head and neck cancer. The candidate will have major opportunities for leadership, mentorship, and scholarship, working with faculty focused on upper aerodigestive cancer research and leading a multidisciplinary head and neck cancer clinical and research teams.
The academic appointment will be commensurate with the individual's experience.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this position would be an established researcher at an Associate Professor level or Professor level with a particular focus in the treatment of Head and Neck Cancers (HPV+ and HPV- squamous cell cancer of the head and neck, salivary gland cancers, thyroid cancers) and a focus on clinical trials and translational research. The successful candidate should have experience in collaborative research, education, and program building. Research interests could include translational and/or clinical research, in any area (including small molecules, immunotherapies, cellular therapies and beyond) related to the treatment of Head and Neck Cancers.
This individual should be eligible for licensure in the State of Maryland.
