AACI/AACR Hill Day Resources

Hill Day will bring cancer center directors, researchers, physician-scientists, cancer survivors, and other advocates together to build support for a strong federal investment in biomedical research—and cancer research in particular—through the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the National Cancer Institute (NCI). All faculty and staff of AACI cancer centers are invited to spend the day advocating for cancer research funding on Capitol Hill.

Participation in Hill Day is critical to sharing our message with legislators: that stable, predictable funding increases are essential to advancing research and care at our nation’s cancer centers. Your participation will underscore the value of a bipartisan commitment to cancer research in saving and improving millions of lives touched by cancer.

In conjunction with Hill Day, we encourage all cancer research advocates to send a message to their members of Congress and urge them to support increased funding for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and National Cancer Institute (NCI).

Join us in calling on Congress to provide significant funding increases for the NIH and NCI in fiscal year (FY) 2024. We also encourage you to join the conversation on social media using the hashtags #AACIOnTheHill, #AACROnTheHill, #FundNIH, and #FundNCI. Thank you for your advocacy!
