The 12th Annual AACI CRI Meeting Abstracts and Posters Book is now available to AACI members. The book features 77 abstracts from 31 cancer centers submitted for virtual presentation at the CRI meeting this past July. This year’s submissions covered topics in several categories, including Clinical Research Operations, Investigator-Initiated Trials, Training & Quality Assurance, and Trial Start-up and Activation.

Three winning abstracts were presented individually during a virtual program session, and seven honorable mention posters, one from each abstract category, were highlighted during a virtual poster session. The three winning abstracts, selected by the CRI Steering Committee and CRI Education Committee, were submitted by authors representing Cleveland Clinic Cancer Center; University of Hawai‘i Cancer Center, University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa; and Mays Cancer Center, UT Health San Antonio. The seven honorable mention posters were submitted by authors representing City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center; University of Colorado Cancer Center; Huntsman Cancer Institute, University of Utah; Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute, Wayne State University; Comprehensive Cancer Center, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital; Masonic Cancer Center, University of Minnesota; and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

The AACI Clinical Trials Office (CTO) Medical Director Working Group will host a virtual roundtable on Tuesday, November 10 from 4:00 – 5:00 pm eastern time.

The discussion will be led by Theresa L. Werner, MD, Huntsman Cancer Institute, University of Utah; Tara L. Lin, MD, The University of Kansas Cancer Center; and Stefan C. Grant, MD, JD, MBA, Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Cancer Center. All three presenters are CTO medical directors and have served on AACI's CRI Steering Committee.

Drs. Werner, Lin, and Grant will highlight results from a survey distributed to CTO medical directors, share a job description for the position, and pair junior and senior leaders to establish mentoring relationships.
