On February 15, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released its proposed National Coverage Analysis for CAR T-cell therapy. CMS has opened a 30-day comment period for the proposal, with comments due by Friday, March 15. Following the 30-day comment period, CMS will issue a final decision on this issue within 60 days.  

AACI’s CAR T steering committee submitted a public comment to CMS last June regarding the proposed national coverage analysis. AACI is currently developing a comment to be submitted to CMS by the March 15th deadline and encourages members to submit comments on behalf of your cancer center. Please direct any questions to [email protected].
