Catchment Area Research and Data Science (CARDS) will host a webinar titled “Communicating Catchment Area Data Using R” at 1:00 pm eastern time on Wednesday, April 17.

Successfully communicating catchment area data to various internal and external partners is crucial for driving research and change. The statistical programming language R is a wonderful asset for making this happen. R can be used both to manipulate, analyze and transform your data and then disseminate it through visualizations and online applications, all in programmatic and reproducible ways. In this webinar you will hear about how two researchers are using R to take their data from columns and rows to engaging presentations that bring the data to life for their cancer centers. The webinar will end with a brief Q&A.

The webinar will be moderated by Todd Burus, MAS, UK Markey Cancer Center and Christopher McNair, PhD, Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson Health. Presenters are Daniel Antonio, MPH, Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University; Sam Pepper, The University of Kansas Cancer Center; and Phil Bowsher, Posit.

The webinar is free and open to all AACI members.
