The mission of The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center (MDACC) is to eliminate cancer in Texas, the nation, and the world through outstanding programs that integrate patient care, research, and prevention, and through education for undergraduate and graduate students, trainees, professionals, employees, and the public.
The ideal candidate will have experience in data management and leading a team to develop strategic data solutions. Prior involvement with Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG) activities is highly desirable. Candidates should have experience administering research funding programs, with a strong understanding of both pre- and post-award and progress-tracking processes. Candidates should also demonstrate experience in strategic planning and providing high-level administrative support in a research or academic setting. A proven ability to work collaboratively with investigators, manage complex funding portfolios, and support research operations is strongly preferred.
Required:
Five years of experience in an academic research setting facilitating research program development and management of research resources to include two years of supervisory/management experience.
With preferred degree (Masters), three years of required experience to include two years of supervisory/management experience. Successful completion of the LEADing Self Accelerate and/or LEADing Self Discover programs may substitute for one year of required supervisory or management experience. Completion of both programs can be substituted for a maximum of two years of supervisory or management experience.
Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
Bachelors degree in science or medically related field, business, or healthcare administration.
Preferred:
Five or more years of directly relevant management experience that reflects expansion of role, and complexity over time.
Direct experience with data related to CCSG.
Exceptional analytical and software skills.Prior supervision of a Data Analytics/Research Informatics team
