January 14, 2021
Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) welcomes nominations and applications for its next Senior Vice President for External Affairs.

Reporting to the Executive Vice President/Chief Finance and Business Strategy Officer, the successful candidate will bring considerable federal, state and city legislative experience to help establish and oversee a patient-centric legislative agenda which advocates for the support of DFCI’s mission and programs. The next Senior Vice President for External Affairs (SVP) must be deeply attuned to the changing financial reimbursement landscape for Medicare and Medicaid payers at state and federal levels and support community outreach programs to enhance cancer control for underserved populations. In addition, the Senior Vice President provides strategic planning and project management support for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s (DFCI) priority initiatives, as requested, and serves in a special advisory capacity to the DFCI President on major policy issues.

Founded in 1947 by Sidney Farber, MD, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute holds a special place in New England culture.
