Are you a motivated and experienced research administration professional seeking a challenging and rewarding career in research administration? The Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center seeks a Senior Grants and Contracts Specialist to join our dynamic research administration team. In this role, you will be responsible for lifecycle grants administration (pre-award/post-award/etc.) of new multi-investigator grant and contract applications by Cancer Center members. You will have the opportunity to provide guidance and research administration support to emerging new translational research programs. Additionally, in this role you will facilitate large multi-investigator, collaborative multi-site, and inter-programmatic research applications as well as institutional cancer-focused education and training and career development proposals.
Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or related field and four (4) years experience in business or public administration with emphasis on customer service in financial or contracting position.
Certified Research Administrator (CRA) designation preferred.
Applicants without the stated degree, but with significant additional professional applicable experience may be considered in lieu of education requirement.
This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code 51.215, which authorizes UT Southwestern to obtain criminal history record information.
