Banner Health is conducting a national search for Senior Director, Practice Affairs and Administration, Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center. This critical role will lead the practice affairs and administrative operations of the cancer center across the entire Banner enterprise. Banner-MD Anderson Cancer Center has undergone remarkable growth as well as becoming a trusted destination for many cancer patients throughout the region. In addition to the main cancer center at Banner Gateway Medical Center, the program now provides services at eight other Banner hospital campuses (including Northern Colorado). Banner Cancer Specialists employs over 200 physicians and advanced practice providers, representing over 20 specialties. Banner-MD Anderson Cancer Center is increasingly recognized in the Southwest for its multidisciplinary disease-site teams and expertise, exceptional patient experience, and the extent of its treatment, diagnostic and support services. With over 75 active clinical trials serving over 300 patients per year and publications in some of the most respected medical journals, the research program is robust and increasingly distinguished for its success.

Minimum Qualifications
Must possess a strong knowledge of healthcare operations as normally obtained through the completion of a master’s degree in nursing, healthcare administration, or related field. Expert-level working knowledge of principles, practices, and operations in assigned or related area of responsibility as normally obtained through a minimum of seven years of progressively responsible managerial experience, including a minimum of two years management level experience within a healthcare system setting or large multi-operational, complex corporate environment. Proven track record as a manager with specific experience in implementing large scale operational and business initiatives. Demonstrated success in overseeing a group of physicians/providers/staff. Proactive orientation demonstrated in previous leadership roles. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills essential. Demonstrated effectiveness in planning and supporting clinical program development. Demonstrated success in supporting medical research with the ability to effectively identify opportunities for improvement in support functions. Exceptional analytic and communication skills with the ability to effectively and concisely communicate complex findings to a variety of key groups and individuals. A proven ability to effectively and efficiently manage multiple high priority projects at the same time and delegate appropriately. Proven experience working across a complex health system. Consistently strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and sustain effective working relationships with professionals in other disciplines. The ability to create a high energy results-oriented work environment that encourages colleagues and staff to value each other’s contributions.
