Join our cancer enterprise at Cedars-Sinai Cancer during a transformational period of growth and impact.
Ranked by US News & World Report as the #7 Best Hospital in Cancer in 2020-2021, the Cancer Prevention and Control Program (CPC), the Cancer Research Center for Health Equity (CRCHE) and the Center for Integrated Research in Cancer and Lifestyle (CIRCL) of Cedars-Sinai Cancer have partnered to build a program of excellence aimed at reducing cancer morbidity and mortality for all persons. To accomplish this, we are investing in the recruitment of top talent in areas important to the large and diverse patient populations of Cedars-Sinai Health System, Los Angeles, and the larger California community.
Los Angeles and its surrounding communities comprise one of the largest and most diverse populations in the United States. This includes Latinx, Filipinx, Korean, African American, Jewish American, LGBTQ+, and non Latinx White communities – each with unique cancer burdens and unaddressed cancer research prevention and control needs.
Targeted areas for programmatic growth include 1) expansion of expertise in cancer disparities research directed to cancers affecting our communities and 2) recruitment initiatives to increase our depth in basic and preclinical lifestyle science (diet, sleep, stress, isolation, exercise) and clinical trials. Desired for the CRCHE are individuals/teams with interest and expertise in community interventions, information dissemination, and care delivery research. Desired for CIRCL are individuals/teams with leadership interest and expertise in lifestyle basic science and lifestyle clinical trials.
While these represent prioritized areas of growth that align with our partnering shared research mission, we encourage talented individuals with expertise in other areas of cancer prevention and control to reach out for information on all opportunities in the CPC at Cedars-Sinai Cancer.
