The Project Manager III leads the planning, organizing and implementation of multiple projects while maintaining control on project schedule, budget and risk issues. Provides UACC leadership with regular project updates, builds and maintains relationships, identifies project risks and assists by providing prudent and timely recommendations for risk avoidance. In addition, assists senior members of the team with major and important projects that have significant organizational impact or are linked to major goals defined in the strategic mission.

Duties & Responsibilities
Coordinates and performs day-to-day operational activities for project(s), which may include administration, finance, IT, compliance, communications and outreach and other activities.
Defines project scope, goals & deliverables in support of business goals, while working with stakeholders for approval.
Develops, implements and tracks project plans and design, including monitoring project scope, schedule, timeline, deliverables, identifying and reporting issues (e.g., overrunning budget, scope changes, timeline problems) and performing research and analysis.
Develop and maintain the Master Project Schedule; actively track each aspect of the project performance.
Coordinates with internal and/or external stakeholders to ensure achievement of project outcomes, secure resources and/or provide updates.
Facilitate a project kick-off meeting with staff and key stakeholders to ensure responsibilities are communicated and understood by all involved/concerned with the project.
Participates in the design and development of project knowledge resources (e.g. databases, documentation, policies and procedures).
Maintains standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
Ensure project documentation and logistics are kept up to date and communicated with leadership as well as all team members.
Provides updates on the status, issues, key activities and any changes to stakeholders.
Identifies and communicates resource conflicts.
Provides presentations on project updates, project cycle, and expected results.
Participates in the evaluation, selection, maintenance and continuous enhancements of project management methodology, tools and templates, and contributes to the overall improvement.
Identifies and uses project management applications and software to support ongoing project management efforts. Develops expertise and practical knowledge of the tool to be able to provide support for users requiring assistance in using the application.
Financial management of project.
Establish and manage project budgets, maintain monthly forecasts and cash flow analysis, prepare anticipated cost reports and any other reports as required.
Develop a detailed project budget based on historical and market data and clearly defined set of budget assumptions.
Prepare various RFPs needed for vendor and contractor services for the complete project.
Coordinate and manage projects related to External Advisory Board, Internal Advisory Board, Strategic Planning, Senior Leadership meetings, Executive Committee meetings, and other assigned events and meetings.
Performs administrative functions related to these projects and meetings, including but not limited to notifications, scheduling, agenda creation, development of PowerPoint presentations, location identification, milestone and timeline development, and creation of minutes and follow up.
In collaboration with the Project Management, Manager delegate other tasks as needed.
Managing and posting Request for Announcement (RFA) and other announcements in collaboration with stakeholders.
Schedule committee review for review of applications. Follow up with progress and ROI reports.
Schedule presentations from awardees Scientific Leadership committee (SLC).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of Project Management methodologies.
Proficient with Project Management software.
Ability to manage and build teams.
Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.
Knowledge of project scheduling process including scheduling, deadlines, deliverables, and resource and risk management.
Ability to effectively manage project budgets.
Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to distill information and results into simple concepts and actions for a variety of audiences.
Ability to analyze and interpret data and solve practical problems.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Understanding of project & program management processes and methodologies.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience is required.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
Preferred Qualifications * Project Management certification such as PMP, Agile, Greenbelt, Light Six Sigma, or Scrum.
