Director of Cancer Immune Monitoring Core / Assistant Professor (Research Track)

The Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center (SCCC) at UT Southwestern Medical Center invites applicants for the position of Director of the newly organized Immune Monitoring Core Laboratory.

The Director will manage core analytical operations (multi-wavelength immune imaging of animal and human tumors, surrounding tissues and related samples, mass cytometry (CyTOF) analysis of lymphocytes, single cell analysis of dissociated tumors, imaging CyTOF of multiplexed tissue samples using a Hyperion CyTOF scanner, and conventional immune microarray analysis). The director will also develop and validate antibody panels appropriate for these procedures in collaboration with other SCCC members; assist and guide faculty in developing and analyzing such assays; and supporting education and training of non-expert cancer researchers in these areas.

Applicants must have a doctoral degree and productive post-doctoral experience in cancer immunology and experimental approaches to cancer immune monitoring. The director will be appointed as an assistant professor in the research track. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.
