Nature of Work (Full time)
The DSMC ensures research data generated by CU Cancer Center investigators are of high quality, reliable, and verifiable. Additionally, the DSMC is responsible for ensuring the safety of clinical trial participants and provides oversight through internal audits, real time review of treatment related SAEs, UAPs, and other reportable AEs, high risk protocol review and the supervision of independent DSMBs for CU Cancer Center investigator-initiated large, randomized trials that otherwise do not have an external DSMB.
This position will work working closely with the DSM Committee Chair to ensure compliance with the NCI approved Institutional DSM Plan and manage this critical function of the Cancer Center. The individual in the role will be expected to oversee and execute all administrative activities associated with auditing, protocol reviews, and safety reporting as well as provide strategic leadership in the development and implementation of new policies and processes to ensure DSMC is able to meet the changing environment driven by growth in the clinical research portfolio, changes in institutional, federal and/or NCI policies, and growth in the clinical entities that comprise the Cancer Center’s membership.
This position will supervise the DSMC audit team
