Virginia Commonwealth University is seeking a dynamic Center Research Program Administrator. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Research Administration, and working closely with the Chief Administrative Officer, the Center Research Program Administrator is responsible for the programmatic, administrative, and financial management of the NCI P30 Center grant, managing both non-competitive and competitive renewal documentation, coordination, and submission. This position is also responsible for the oversight and management of all program related activities, including, but not limited to, cancer center membership, intramural grant program administration, member support, and shared resources administrative management.

The Center Research Program Administrator represents the Massey Cancer Center as a liaison to other University departments, the Office of the VP for Health Sciences, principal investigators, partners, fiscal administrators, department chairs, and other internal and external customers. This position is accountable for the planning, development, implementation and reporting of metrics within defined areas of responsibilities to include, but not limited to, pre and post-award management, people and resource allocation for all intramural MCC funding mechanisms and awards, as well as, the NCI P30 Center grant metrics. The position may perform administrative duties that require a thorough knowledge of the University’s policies, procedures, and operations within an academic medical research environment.
