Cancer Center Support Grant Program Manager
The Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG) Program Manager will aid UVACC Leadership and Administration in programmatic development, administrative management, and support for strategic development related to all components of the CCSG. The successful candidate would:
Overseeing (planning, management, and documentation of) all leadership activities of the CCSG: Leadership Teams (Senior Leadership, CCSG Executive Committee, Research Program Meetings, Internal Advisory Board, Community Advisory Council, and the External Advisory Board, etc.), with formats to include annual conferences, retreats, research symposiums, faculty meetings, and scientific committees. Works in close collaboration with RASP Program Manager for event planning.
Membership management: annual review of membership, coordination of application process, tracking membership history, and membership policy management
Ensure compliance with CCSG Guidelines:
Serve as the expert on the most recent CCSG Guidelines
Lead CCSG policy development process and ensuring policy compliance
Identify and assess barriers to successful implementation of the CCSG, and to formulate plans for resolving issues and removing those barriers.
Data collection and management, including information related to membership, publications, grants, clinical research studies, shared resource usage, and related metrics; and development of data tables required for the CCSG.
Data analysis: Analyze and compile key metrics (publications, grants, membership, shared resource usage and other research productivity information) required for program leaders in the assessment of scientific impact and monitoring of critical program metrics
Managing developmental funds and research pilot award programs
Ensure UVACC communications plans (email, web, social media) align with the requirements and necessary communication related to the UVACC CCSG. Maintain public face of the research effort of the UVACC with respect to patients, trainees, UVA research community, extended research community.
Attends all Leadership Group, CCSG Executive Committee, Internal Advisory Committee, Clinical Research Leadership Committee, Shared Resource Advisory Committee meetings, providing a solid communication channel linking UVACC leadership to all critical CCSG activities.
The Program Manager must have the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks and work well with faculty, staff, patients, providers, and collaborators from a variety of settings. A high degree of independence, initiative, assertiveness, tenacity, and diplomacy will be necessary for this complex environment.
