Cancer Center Project Director - St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Center (Memphis, TN)
The Comprehensive Cancer Center at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (SJCCC) is seeking a Cancer Center Project Director who will oversee the administrative and operational aspects of the National Cancer Institute (NCI)-funded Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG) and other strategic projects that further the goals of the SJCCC. As the only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center devoted solely to children, the SJCCC brings together world-class physicians and scientists to work on problems that have the potential to have the greatest impact for children fighting cancer.
Working in the Office of the Cancer Center Director and Executive Vice President, the Cancer Center Project Director will join a collaborative and high-performing administrative team that facilitates development of strategy and tactics in pursuit of our mission to advance cures for pediatric cancer. Reporting to the Associate Director for Administration, the position will have the opportunity to provide leadership and direction for activities critical to the Cancer Center Support Grant and the SJCCC; work closely with executive leadership, world-renowned researchers and experienced administrators; participate in strategic planning and administrative retreats; and contribute new ideas in an open and intellectually engaging environment.

Master's degree in a relevant field required (including, but not limited to, scientific/health care field, Health Administration or Business Administration).
Five (5) years of experience in related field required
Track record of successful project management or project coordination required
Serves as the subject matter expert on all matters related to the Cancer Center Support Grant guidelines.
Directs activities related to the CCSG competing and noncompeting renewal. Provides project management for tasks ensuring deadlines are met. Responsible for overseeing the submission of the CCSG application and annual renewals to the National Cancer Institute.
Leads planning and coordination of critical events including the site visit rehearsals and site visit for the NCI CCSG and annual External Advisory Board meetings.
Participates in strategic planning. Partners in identifying CCSG-related opportunities and needs and developing strategies and implementation processes to address them.
Serves as a key administrative representative for the SJCCC. Liaises with SJCCC leadership, members, and stakeholders.
