The Department of Biostatistics and the Massey Cancer Center, a National Cancer Institute-designated center at Virginia Commonwealth University invites applications for a tenure track Professor faculty. This incumbent will provide leadership and direction of the Biostatistics Shared Resources in the furtherance to reduce the state cancer burden for all Virginians by addressing the confluence between biological, social, and policy drivers through high-impact, cutting-edge research;  person-centered care across the continuum, from prevention through survivorship; community integration; and training the next generation of community-centric researchers and healthcare professionals.The Massey Biostatistics Shared Resource Director is charged with overseeing the scientific viability of the services offered to Cancer Center members.  The Shared Resource Director is responsible for identifying opportunities for strategic growth and development to facilitate interdisciplinary and trans-disciplinary cancer research, between and within core laboratories, so as to harness the considerable intellectual talent and scientific resources of the Massey Cancer Center and focus them on solving the nation’s cancer problem.
