The University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center (UNMCCC) invites applications for the administrative director of the clinical research office (CRO). This position is responsible for assuring the strategic vision, direction, and management of all clinical research and cancer clinical trial operations for the CRO and the UNMCCC. The director will provide expert management of the cancer clinical trials operational and budgetary needs of the CRO and oversee clinical research operations, data management, regulatory compliance, quality assurance and safety, the integration of research into clinical operations, and scientific review for NCI-sponsored, pharmaceutical-sponsored, and investigator-initiated trials. The director may also serve as executive director of the New Mexico Cancer Care Alliance (NMCCA), a collaborative university-community clinical trials consortium which oversees all cancer clinical trial activity in a statewide network of community-based affiliate sites.

- Master’s degree in health care or business administration with at least five (5) years of clinical research experience and at least two (2) years of management, preferably in oncology
- Experience in managing clinical trials operations specifically in areas surrounding clinical trial regulatory functions, research subject enrollment, research data collection and reporting, patient outcomes, quality assurance, research compliance, and process improvement
