The Association of American Cancer Institutes (AACI) and American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) annual Hill Day will take place in person in Washington, DC, on Thursday, May 18. Your participation in Hill Day is critical to sharing our message with our legislators in Washington: that stable, predictable funds are needed to advance cancer research and care at our nation’s cancer centers.
Soapbox, a firm that specializes in coordinating advocacy days, will request and schedule meetings on your behalf with your legislators, making the day stress-free for all participants. With over 70 new legislators in Washington, there is no better time to join us for Hill Day.
AACI is encouraging each cancer center to send at least one representative to Washington to advocate on your center’s behalf. If you are unable to attend, a scientist, administrator, public relations staffer, government relations representative, or patient advocate who has benefited from care at your cancer center would be a great representative for your institution.
