Call for Abstracts

12th Annual AACI CRI Meeting Abstracts

Abstract submissions are now closed and under review. Authors will be notified in May of abstracts selected for presentation. Any changes to this schedule will be communicated to abstract authors.

Virtual Abstract Presentations

Three abstracts will be selected for virtual presentation and will be featured on a live panel and Q&A session on July 8. Additionally, AACI will recognize seven abstracts to be presented as part of a virtual poster session. One poster from each abstract submission category will be selected. The poster session provides the opportunity for abstract authors to inform meeting attendees about CTO challenges and solutions implemented at AACI cancer centers.

Virtual Poster Session
All abstract authors are encouraged to submit a poster to be featured on the virtual meeting app and in the CRI abstract book published later this year. In addition to submitting a poster, all authors are invited to submit a brief, pre-recorded digital presentation. Digital presentations will be featured on the virtual meeting app. See the Virtual Poster Session FAQ for more information about submitting a poster and digital presentation.

How are abstracts scored and selected for presentation?
Abstracts are evaluated by at least two reviewers from the AACI CRI Steering Committee and/or CRI Education Committee using a peer-review process. Three abstracts will be chosen for oral presentation that address an issue that provides relevant solutions that can be shared or adapted by other AACI cancer centers.

When will applicants be notified of their review outcome?
Abstract applicants will be notified in May 2020.

What is the size requirement for the poster?
Posters may not exceed 24” x 36” (portrait) or 36” x 24” (landscape).

What format or program should I use to develop my poster?
You may format your poster using a program of your choice. PowerPoint templates are available in landscape and portrait format.

How do submit an electronic copy of my poster?
An electronic version of your poster must be emailed to by 5:00 pm Pacific time on Monday, June 8, 2020 to allow time to be included on the meeting website and meeting app. Please email a full-sized, 24” x 36” (portrait) or 36” x 24” (landscape), version of your poster.

How will posters be displayed?
Posters will be available for viewing on the meeting website and meeting app.

What happens to my abstract and poster after the meeting?
Abstracts and posters are published in a book that will be distributed at the 2020 AACI/CCAF Annual Meeting, which is attended by cancer center directors, administrators, and physician clinical leaders. By submitting an abstract and poster, you give AACI permission to publish these materials. Your abstract will also be available for review on the AACI CRI abstract/poster webpage for up to one year or until the next CRI annual meeting.

How do I submit a digital presentation?
  1. Create a PowerPoint presentation detailing your abstract, including the background, goals, methods, outcomes, and lessons learned. Please include your name, title, organization, and contact information for meeting attendees who may have questions about your abstract.
  2. Select a presenter for your abstract and record the presentation using PowerPoint. Please ensure the presentation is no more than five (5) minutes in duration. Learn how to record a presentation.
  3. Convert your presentation into an mp4 video.
  4. Send your presentation to by 5:00 pm Pacific time on Monday, June 8.
