As part of the Clinical Research Office, this Clinical Research Coordinator I will serve as the IRB Coordinator and Data Manager for the Pediatrics unit of the UFHCC. The incumbent will be responsible for the management of a portfolio of clinical trials and independently collaborate with key personnel to ensure regulatory compliance. The incumbent will also serve as a resource coordinator that provides training, education and mentorship to other office or clinical staff. This is a critical position in the lifecycle of clinical research being conducted at the UF Health Cancer Center and the incumbent is uniquely and ultimately responsible for the regulatory compliance of the trials being conducted by the Clinical Research Office that are part of their managed portfolio.

Additionally, the incumbent will be working with patients treated at the UF Health Cancer Center and will participate as a member of the Pediatrics team in the conduct of clinical research trials, collection of subject data and clinical samples, and documentation.

Associate’s degree or an allied health professional degree in an appropriate area and one year of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ideal candidates will also have 3-5 years of Research Experience in an Academic Medical Center, experience with NCTN/ECTCN Cooperative group trials, and experience with Excel, Word and databases. Additionally, the ability to work independently, interact professionally and possess effective writing and organizational skills, demonstrated success in project management, clinical research/trials experience, and a comprehensive and demonstrated understanding of Good Clinical Practice are highly desirable. Professional clinical research and/or oncology certification (through SOCRA, ACRP, etc.) are attained at the earliest of 12 months from hire or eligibility.

$35,000 - $43,000 annually; Commensurate with education and experience.
