Clinical Investigator

The University of Kansas Cancer Center is seeking to recruit a full time academic clinical investigator with demonstrated interest in investigational drug development and Phase I Clinical Trials.

The successful candidate will join a translational team of physicians and scientists focused on early clinical development of personalized cancer therapeutics. The selected candidate will be integrated into the academic and teaching activities of the KU Clinical Research Center, the Division of Hematology/Oncology, and KUCC research programs. Excellent lab space and competitive start up packages are available.

Applications will be considered from physician-investigators at the Assistant/Associate Professor level (PhD or MD/PhD-tenure-earning or tenured faculty positions). Board certified/eligible in medical oncology or hematology/oncology, and eligible for licensure in Kansas. Require candidates with a proven ability to develop experimental cancer therapies and conduct innovative, investigator-initiated early-phase clinical trials. This position does not require laboratory research.

Successful candidates will have demonstrated record of originality and productivity in research, existing or outstanding potential for consistent extramural funding and an interest in graduate and medical education.
